Subscription Policy

This policy explains clearly how subscriptions and recurring orders work at FlowWells — including how to enroll, how billing works, and how to cancel at any time with no hassle.

When you place a standard order at flowwells.com, you are making a single, one-time purchase. No recurring charges will ever be applied to your payment method without your explicit, informed consent. Subscription and recurring order options, when offered, are always optional and clearly labeled before checkout. You will never be enrolled in a subscription by accident.

Section 01

What Is a Subscription at FlowWells

FlowWells is a US-based wellness brand selling physical wellness and personal comfort products — including our flagship Full Body Massage Mat with Heat ($249.95 USD). Our products are primarily sold as one-time purchases. This Subscription Policy applies when and if FlowWells offers optional recurring purchase (subscription) programs for qualifying products.

A subscription at FlowWells means a voluntary, recurring purchase arrangement where you agree to receive a product on a set schedule (such as every 30, 60, or 90 days) and authorize us to automatically charge your payment method at the agreed price on each renewal date. You choose the frequency, you confirm the price, and you are in full control at all times.

Subscriptions are entirely optional. No product on flowwells.com requires a subscription to purchase. Every item available through a subscription plan is also available as a standard one-time order at the same or comparable price. If you purchase without selecting a subscription option, you will only be charged once — no recurring billing will ever occur.

No Negative Option Billing: FlowWells does not use negative option billing, free trial-to-paid conversions, or pre-checked subscription boxes. You will never be automatically enrolled in a subscription. Enrollment always requires a deliberate, affirmative action during checkout — a clear opt-in button or toggle that you consciously select.

Section 02

How to Enroll in a Subscription

When a subscription option is available for a product, you will see a clearly marked "Subscribe & Save" or "Subscribe" toggle or button on the product page. Here is exactly what happens when you choose to subscribe:

Select the Subscription Option: On the product page, choose the "Subscribe" option and select your preferred delivery frequency (e.g., every 30, 60, or 90 days). The subscription price and any applicable savings will be displayed clearly before you add the item to your cart.

Review at Checkout: Your cart and checkout page will clearly show that you are placing a recurring subscription order — not a one-time purchase. The billing frequency, price per cycle, and total for the first order will all be displayed before you confirm payment.

Confirm Your Order: By clicking "Complete Order" on a subscription checkout, you are explicitly agreeing to the recurring billing terms shown on that page. Your first payment is charged immediately upon order confirmation.

Confirmation Email: After completing your subscription enrollment, you will receive an email confirmation that clearly states: the product subscribed, the price per cycle, the billing frequency, the next billing date, and instructions for managing or canceling your subscription.

Renewal Reminder: You will receive an email reminder at least 3 days before each upcoming subscription renewal charge. This reminder will include the product, amount to be charged, and a direct link to manage or cancel your subscription before the charge occurs.

Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age to enroll in a subscription. By enrolling, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.

On every subscription order

All subscription prices are displayed and charged in US Dollars (USD). The price you agree to at enrollment is the price you will be charged for each billing cycle, unless you are notified of a price change in advance (see Section 10). We do not charge hidden fees, service charges, or administration fees on subscription orders.

Sales Tax: Applicable state and local sales tax will be calculated and added to each subscription billing cycle based on your shipping address at the time of the charge. The tax amount shown at enrollment is an estimate; actual tax may vary slightly if your local tax rate changes between billing cycles. The final tax amount is always shown in your pre-renewal reminder email.

Payment Methods: Subscription charges are processed securely through Shopify Payments using the payment method you authorized at the time of enrollment. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Diners Club, JCB, UnionPay, and ELO. Your full payment card number is never stored on FlowWells servers. Payment processing complies with PCI-DSS Level 1 standards.

Billing Descriptor: Subscription charges from FlowWells will appear on your bank or card statement as "FlowWells" or "FlowWells.com." If you do not recognize a charge, please contact us at support@flowwells.com before disputing it with your bank. We can quickly verify and explain any charge, and most billing inquiries are resolved the same day.

Subscription Discounts: When a subscription discount is offered (e.g., "Save 10% when you subscribe"), the discounted price applies only to orders fulfilled while your subscription is active. If you cancel and later re-subscribe, you may be eligible for the then-current subscription discount, which may differ from your original rate. Any changes to subscription pricing will always be communicated in advance.

Every subscription order placed through FlowWells is subject to the same fulfillment and shipping standards as our one-time orders. Here is what you can expect for each recurring shipment:

Tracking: You will receive a shipment notification email with a tracking number each time a subscription order is dispatched. You can monitor any shipment in real time at flowwells.com/tools/track.

Shipping Address: Subscription orders ship to the address on file in your customer account. You are responsible for keeping your shipping address current. To update your address, contact us at support@flowwells.com at least 3 business days before your next scheduled billing date. Address changes requested after billing has occurred for a cycle may not apply to that cycle's shipment.

Product Availability: In the rare event that a subscribed product is temporarily out of stock at the time of your renewal, we will notify you by email immediately. Your billing cycle may be delayed, and you will not be charged until the product is available for shipment. You will always have the option to cancel the delayed order or your subscription entirely without penalty. For our complete shipping details, visit our Shipping Policy.

Section 05

How to Pause Your Subscription

We understand that your life and needs change. If you need to take a break from your subscription without canceling it entirely, you may be eligible to pause it. Pausing temporarily suspends upcoming billing and shipments while keeping your subscription preferences saved for when you are ready to resume.

To request a pause, email us at support@flowwells.com with your order number and the number of cycles you wish to skip (e.g., "skip the next 2 cycles").

Pause requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before your next scheduled billing date to take effect for the upcoming cycle.

During a paused period, no charges will be made and no shipments will be dispatched. Your subscription settings are preserved.

To resume, simply contact us at support@flowwells.com or visit our Contact Us page and we will reinstate your subscription on your next preferred billing date.

No Penalty for Pausing: There is no fee, no penalty, and no loss of subscription pricing for pausing your subscription. Pausing is a free feature available to all FlowWells subscribers.

How to Cancel Your Subscription

You Can Cancel Anytime — No Questions Asked, No Cancellation Fees.

FlowWells does not charge cancellation fees, early termination fees, or any other fees to cancel a subscription. There are no minimum commitment periods. You are free to cancel at any time.

How to Cancel:

Email Us: Send a cancellation request to support@flowwells.com with the subject line "Cancel My Subscription" and include your order number or the email address associated with your subscription. We will confirm your cancellation within one business day.

Contact Form: Submit your cancellation request through our Contact Us page at flowwells.com/pages/contact-us. Please include your subscription or order number.

Live Chat: Use the live chat feature available on flowwells.com during business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM CST) to speak with a support agent who can process your cancellation immediately.

Cancellation Timing: To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, your cancellation request must be received and confirmed at least 48 hours before your next scheduled billing date. Cancellation requests received less than 48 hours before the next billing date may result in one additional charge for the upcoming cycle, as processing of that order may have already begun.

Post-Cancellation: Once canceled, no further charges will be made to your payment method. Any order that was already processed before cancellation will still be fulfilled and shipped. If a charge was made within 24 hours of your cancellation request being received, contact us and we will work to accommodate you on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellation Confirmation: You will receive a written confirmation email once your subscription has been successfully canceled. Please save this email for your records. If you do not receive a confirmation within one business day, contact us immediately at support@flowwells.com to verify your cancellation was processed.

Section 07

Modifying Your Subscription

You can request changes to your active subscription at any time. The following modifications are available:

Change Billing Frequency: You may request to change how often your subscription renews (e.g., from every 30 days to every 60 days). The change will take effect on your next billing cycle.
Update Shipping Address: You can update the delivery address for your subscription at any time by contacting us at least 3 business days before your next billing date.
Update Payment Method: To update the card or payment method used for your subscription, contact us at support@flowwells.com and we will send you a secure link to update your payment details.
Skip a Single Order: If you want to skip just one upcoming shipment without pausing or canceling, you can request a one-time skip at least 48 hours before your next billing date.

To request any modification, contact our support team at support@flowwells.com, via live chat at flowwells.com/pages/contact-us, or during business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM CST). All modification requests must be confirmed in writing by our team to be effective. We aim to respond to all requests within one business day.

Section 08

Returns & Refunds on Subscription Orders

Each individual subscription order is treated as a separate transaction and is subject to our standard 30-day return policy, counted from the date of delivery for that specific order. The following terms apply to subscription order returns:

Return requests for subscription orders must be submitted within 30 calendar days of the delivery date of that specific order.

The item must be unused and in its original condition with all original packaging, accessories, and components intact.

Returning one subscription order does not automatically cancel your subscription. If you wish to stop future deliveries, you must cancel your subscription separately (see Section 06).

Approved returns on subscription orders are refunded to the original payment method used for that specific charge, within 10 business days of receiving the returned item.

If a subscription order arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery with photos. We will send a replacement or issue a full refund, with no return required in most cases.

Section 09

Failed Payments & What Happens Next

If a recurring subscription charge is declined by your bank or payment provider, FlowWells will handle the situation transparently and give you every opportunity to resolve it:

Immediate Notification: You will receive an email notification as soon as a payment fails, explaining what happened and providing steps to resolve it.

Retry Attempts: We may attempt to retry the charge up to 2 additional times over the following 7 days. You will be notified before each retry attempt.

Shipment on Hold: During the period of a failed payment, your subscription order will be held and not shipped until payment is successfully collected. You will not receive a shipment without a successful payment.

Subscription Pause or Cancellation: If all retry attempts fail, your subscription will be automatically paused. You can resume it by updating your payment method and contacting us at support@flowwells.com. If no update is received within 14 days of the original failed charge, the subscription may be canceled. You are always welcome to re-subscribe.

No Surprise Charges: We will never attempt to charge an amount different from what was agreed to at enrollment, and we will always notify you before any retry attempt. If you wish to update your payment method to resolve a failed charge, contact us at support@flowwells.com and we will send you a secure update link.

Section 10

Price Changes & Advance Notice

FlowWells is committed to price transparency. The price you agree to when enrolling in a subscription is the price we will charge for each subsequent cycle, unless we notify you of a price adjustment in advance.

When a Price Change Occurs: If FlowWells needs to adjust the price of a subscribed product, we will notify you via email at least 10 calendar days before the price change takes effect. That notification will clearly state the current price, the new price, the effective date, and your options — including the option to cancel your subscription before being charged at the new price.

Your Right to Cancel: If you do not agree with the new price, you may cancel your subscription at no cost before the effective date of the change (see Section 06 for how to cancel). You will not be charged the new price unless you have been notified and you remain subscribed after the effective date.

Sales Tax Changes: Applicable sales tax rates on subscription orders may change due to changes in state or local tax law. Tax rate adjustments are outside FlowWells's control and do not constitute a "price change" requiring 10-day advance notice. However, your renewal reminder email will always display the expected tax amount before each charge.

Section 11

State-Specific Subscription Rights

FlowWells ships to and serves customers across all 50 US states. Several states have specific laws that govern automatic renewal and subscription programs for consumers. FlowWells complies with all applicable state subscription laws. Below is a summary of your rights by state:

🏛 California — Auto-Renewal Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17600–17606)

California has one of the most comprehensive automatic renewal laws in the United States. Under California law, FlowWells is required to: (1) present all subscription offer terms in a clear and conspicuous manner before a consumer enrolls; (2) obtain the consumer's affirmative consent to the subscription terms before charging them; (3) provide an acknowledgment email after enrollment that includes the subscription terms, cancellation policy, and instructions for canceling; and (4) allow easy cancellation at any time through a mechanism that is at least as easy to use as the mechanism used to subscribe. FlowWells meets all of these requirements. California residents may cancel their subscription at any time by emailing support@flowwells.com or by using our Contact Us page.

🏛 New York — Automatic Renewal Law (NY Gen. Bus. Law § 527)

New York law requires that automatic renewal subscription terms be disclosed clearly to consumers before purchase and that consumers be notified of the renewal before it occurs. FlowWells complies with this requirement by providing pre-renewal reminder emails at least 3 days before each billing cycle and by disclosing all subscription terms clearly at the point of enrollment. New York residents may cancel their subscription at any time with no cancellation fee by contacting support@flowwells.com.

🏛 Illinois — Automatic Contract Renewal Act (815 ILCS 601)

Illinois law requires merchants offering automatic renewal contracts to clearly disclose the renewal terms and provide notice of the renewal before charging the consumer. FlowWells provides pre-renewal reminder emails and clear disclosure of all terms at enrollment, in full compliance with Illinois requirements. Illinois residents may cancel at any time by contacting support@flowwells.com.

🏛 Oregon — Automatic Renewal Law (ORS § 646A.295)

Oregon law requires businesses to disclose automatic renewal terms in a clear and conspicuous manner, obtain affirmative consent, and provide a simple mechanism for cancellation. FlowWells complies fully with Oregon's automatic renewal requirements. Oregon residents may cancel at any time via email at support@flowwells.com or through our contact form.

🏛 Vermont — Consumer Fraud Act (9 V.S.A. § 2451)

Vermont's consumer fraud statute protects consumers from deceptive acts in commerce, including unclear subscription practices. Our enrollment disclosures, pre-renewal notices, and easy-cancellation process are designed to comply with Vermont consumer protection standards. Vermont residents may contact the Vermont Attorney General's Office at ago.vermont.gov with any unresolved subscription concern.

🏛 Minnesota — Home State of FlowWells (Minn. Stat. § 325F.68)

FlowWells is headquartered in Rosemount, Minnesota. Minnesota's Consumer Fraud Act prohibits deceptive trade practices, including misleading subscription enrollment or billing practices. Our subscription program is designed to be fully transparent, with no hidden charges, no automatic enrollment, and no barriers to cancellation. Minnesota residents may contact the Minnesota Attorney General's Office at ag.state.mn.us with any consumer complaint.

🏛 All Other US States — Federal Protection

Regardless of your state, you are protected under the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) Negative Option Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 425), which requires that any automatic renewal or subscription program clearly disclose its terms before enrollment, obtain informed consent, and provide a simple cancellation mechanism. FlowWells complies fully with the FTC Negative Option Rule across all 50 states. If you have an unresolved dispute about our subscription practices, you may file a complaint with the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
